Audrey Collins-Lawrence, an Atlanta native, Morris Brown College graduate and entrepreneur, attended Piney Grove Baptist Church throughout her childhood. Many of her family members, including great grandparents, grandparents, a brother, aunts and uncles are interred at the cemetery. She has worked diligently since 2016 in her efforts to restore Piney Grove.

Rhonda Jackson, along with her sister Audrey Collins-Lawrence and cousin Richard Thomas, have worked many years to restore Piney Grove Cemetery. During her youth, she and her family attended Piney Grove Baptist Church. Her 28 year career was in inside sales for an Architectural Moldings Manufacturer and Construction Tool/Products Company.

Beth Marcus was raised on Canterbury Road in Atlanta near the Piney Grove Cemetery. She has spent her career working in local, state and national non-profits on community, affordable housing and economic development issues.
